I know I asked awhile back about Townsend but the wife says we are staying in Gatlinburg this trip.

Any reccomendations for a clean, mom/pop type place (are there any left?) and dog friendy?

I'll start my fishing again this trip with a stop in LRO.

Thanks

I don't know how good it is, and for the life of me I can't remember the name of it, but there's a nice-looking, older hotel on 321 North after it splits from 441. I'll see if I can find some more details on it.

Aha! I found it...check this out:

Again, I have no idea how good it is...I never stay in Gatlinburg, and I try to avoid it as much as possible.

We haven't stayed in G-burg since we started going to Townsend, but I would highly recomend Carlin's Stream Side....it is a mom & pop atmosphere with nice modern rooms and anywhere from hotel style rooms to condo style and even chalets..........

opppssssss......guess it is Carr's North Side Cottages, not Carlins......guess I was always ready to go fishing and didn't pay enough attention to the name of the place......anyways....Carr's is a great place...

thanks for the replies.. I'll file them for the future. We bailed out at the last minute and headed over to State College. Checked in at the Feathered Hook and as suggested hit Spring Creek. Beetles and Ants in the evenings and a Trico hatch in the mornings.
