Has anyone heard any news about the Cumberland? Has there been a fish kill?

Three of us fished the Cumberland four days last week. We only fished the upper eight miles. The river fished good the first three days an slow on Friday. Water temp was in the 56 range, trout were active. BWO'S came off on Thursday, fun day! Fish were on Smokey Mt. BSH, olive bugger, midges. Some PIC'S on Hugh Hartsell's site. Go to reports.

Great pics. What kind of boat do you have and where did you put in? The concern we are having is there enough water for a medium size john boat with a motor? Can you motor back up river to the ramp?

I have a 20' 6'' long Supreme boat with a 25 horsepower motor. This boat draws very little water and has a flat bottom. It has a short shaft motor and power trim. You can ramp at Ray Man Road or Helm's Landing. You will need a four wheel drive to get in and out of the water because the river is so low. We did not have any trouble getting back up stream. You do need to use caution because of some shallow water. I do not think you will have any problems with the john boat. Paul
