How grand it is that we can cheer
Your giving the world another year
I hope you have a reel good day
And Bryon takes you out to play
Not writing a note would be remiss
I hope your day is filled with bliss
I can’t remember, if I felt fine
The day that I turned twenty-nine
But I’m glad you joined our little group
Don’t worry, you’ll still cast a tight loop
And days will be sweater while logging time
As the mountain of life you continue to climb
May many return the kindness you show
And fill your creel with lots of dough
For files and rods and stories to be told
Of trips and tarpon - in fifty years - when you are old
Happy birthday!
