Paradise Valley Report

I only got to fish two days, but I made the most of both of them. I started out early Tuesday on the Yellowstone and caught a good size Brown on a #8 Golden Stone. Then I got some breakfast and moved downstream. This was the ticket. Mark Marker and I were about a mile south of the Emigrant Bridge. We were into fish fast and hard. They were taking Tan #12 Hoppers on top until we stopped at 1:00pm. I caught more than I could count and they were all good size fish. I caught Browns, Cuts and Bows, Mark didn't manage to get a Brown, but he was more than happy with his results.

We fished DePuy's on Thursday and were humbled. I did manage two Browns on my personal fly, and had several breakoffs. I had got used to setting the hook with 4X tippet on Tuesday and couldn't make the adjustment to the neccessary 6X on the Spring Creek.

We had a great time and we plan on returning late August or September of 2008!

Hi Kevin,

Good to have you back. Glad you all had a nice trip. I've been mumbled and humbled at Depuys a few times. Did Harmony Fish? Did you eat a Chico Hot Springs?

Harmony did not fish... She was going to Friday, but the river was blown out. We did eat at Chico's and had a great time. We loved the area and I'm looking forward to going back next year...

hey Kev.......great post, the pics were great!!!!!!! Glad you had a great time fishing and with the family.

May get to fish E.Tn alot more often next year as Abby's company has a branch in Knoxville and there is a possibllity of a transfer....keeping my fingers crossed......
