Camping with my daughter...

Hello, again. It's your friendly neighborhood Green Weenie.

My daughter just turned 4 and has been begging me to take her camping. She also loves to fish. (I know. How lucky for me!) I'm trying to decide where to take her. I'm open to most ideas; GSMNP, Cherokee, tailwaters. I just want for her to catch some fish and have a good time with her Daddy. What are some suggestions?

I second Elkmont. I pretty much spent all my summers as a kid up there. It's where I profected the art of "green weenie" fishing. It was years before LRO and I used a green noodle type tube on a #6 hook. I caught more trout than the guys using worms, corn, and lizards (illegal of course). Plenty of water, good roads for bikes, the little ranger thing they have at the theater is great, with the bonfire and lighting bugs. Perfect place.
