Fished it a lot in the late nineties. It is very tough going and shallow. The banks are overgrown and there are no real trail to follow. I caught some decent brookies at the mouth of the creek. This year with the drought I wouldn't fish it right now.
As for other tribs, Kanati Fork and Kephart Prong are in the vicinity. It's the same kind of fishing with Kephart probably the lowest quality of fishing of the two. The same water situation applies. I would wait until things cool off. This is of course my personal opinion from fishing these waters in the past. Feel free to ignore of heed at your convenience.

I sampled Kanati briefly back in June, just to see what it was like. It's a pretty stream, but quite a jungle in there.

Oh Bradley, Thinks Sam. I forgot, had a nice Brown spitting at my fly over there last year. I also have a fun memory involving a bear, Kevin Thomas and his buddy Mark Marker. I'll wish he comes on here and tell that one for all of us.

my buddy micah and I fished collins yesterday and the fishing was good but very very tight and eventually our trip to collins turned in to a sampling of the nothern part of the park.We hit the oconaluftee, west prong Little p. and two other small feeders i didn't bother to look up on the map. The fishing was good but not great , low water and what not, the story of this summer. Thanks alot for the info I had a great time and saw some new country
