Watauga Trip

I will be going to canoe and fish the watauga tailwaters in two weeks. As I have never done this before I need some help. This will be my first tailwater experence. How would be the best way to approach fishing this. Do tailwaters fish different than a normal smokey's or cherokee national streams? Also would it be better to float in a canoe with some generation, or can I float a bit get out and wade for a while if there is no generation. Thanks, all info appreciated.

It is very differant from from stream fishing.Take soft hackles right now they are busting them...Do not float during Geneartion at all on the Watauga...Opposite for the South Holston..Do not float it on low water..Good luck have fun.
