Has anyone ever camped at 28? Is it as close to Lynn Camp as it looks on the map? Does the stream still have good fishing (in normal conditions) at the campsite?
Thinking about camping up there in October if we get some water flowing.
Also, aren't they closing that stream in the near future?

28 was closed most of last year due to aggressive bear activity...

today the park banned all campfires in the backcountry campsites. they will be permitted in the frontcountry camps and picnic areas. also has asked for proper disposal of cigarettes, cigars, and pipes in order to remove the danger of fire from them.

The streams have been down a lot in the park! I have stayed at campsite 28 before and we had to come back down the trail to fish due to the little flow up near the site. I would suggest going up to elkmont, I can't remeber the campsite number but its about a 2-3 mile hike at the trail head there at elkmont. Good luck fishing!
