Channel Cats?

I am being curious. Has anyone in your neck of the woods persue Channel Cats on the fly? If so what fly do you find best.

I have accidently caught a few on green weenies fishing for bluegills and a couple on brown buggers while fishing for carp.
The guy in this pict catches some big ones on damsel flies and leech patterns up in Canada. He uses 9-10wt rods.
