Rain in the Smokies

Once again it appears that the Little River watershed in the Smokies was not the primary beneficiary of yesterday's rain. While there was only .1" of rain at LRO, there was 1" at Newfound Gap and .55" at Mt. Leconte. The West Prong should be nice this weekend.

Just gotta get that rain across the mountains to the LR side.

I was camped at Elkmont Wednesday night and there was a nice sprinkle going on most of the night. I'm not sure how much of that water soaked in to the ground never making it to the streams.
