Does anyone have any recent information about fishing the tailwaters of Brookville Reservoir in Indiana? I have heard from a couple of folks that the trout fishing is pretty good there, but I don't remember seeing anything on this message board. Can anyone provide information regarding access to the river and is it wadable? Any information would be apprecaited.

Brookville is more or less my home water. I live in Northern Kentucky and it's about an hour drive.
my email address is jeffnles1 at insightbb dot com
shoot me a note i'd be happy to talk about it.
here are a few quick answers to your questions:
yes it is wadable when the water level is about 3.5' or under. Over 4' it is unsafe to wade. Brookville is not an electric producing waterway so there is not the daily generation schedules. It is a flood control dam and the lake behind the dam is a water resivour. The Corps of Engineers are drawing the lake down to winter pool now so the river has been pretty high for the past two weeks or so. It should go back down to it's normal 3' or so range soon.
There is public access and it's a nice water.
Fishing can be really good or really poor depending on the day.
Please feel free to shoot me a note and I can discuss a little more.

I will probably take a trip over and check things out soon. It is a quick drive from Dayton and hopefully a nice change from my usual waters on the Mad River. I think my buddy and I have just about every trout on the Mad located and named.
Jeff, I will drop you a note later today.
