Caney

We are planning another trip to the Caney for sometime next week. I was wondering if anything out of the ordinary is working now. We have gotten used to the normal of some sowbugs and midges, but I was wondering if anyone is having any better luck with larger nymphs.

Also I was reading another post on fishing the SoHo and read that someone was being successful on egg patterns. Has anyone ever tried eggs on the Caney?

Justin, I've had some decent luck in the last month or two on red copper johns and a bhgrhe... Probably a little late to use eggs on the Caney as I think most of the browns have spawned already (anyone else know about this?) although the rainbows that move up behind them to eat the eggs might still remember what they are like...

We fished it last week and had good success using black and copper wooly buggers, size 12.
