first trip to townsend

Just got home from my first trip to Townsend. Great place but the weather was bad the first few days. I took Byron's advice and went to Abram's creek two days but got skunked as he predicted. I'll let everyone know when I'm planning my next trip so you all can prepare for bad weather which will obviously occur just as I arrive. The town and the shop are great so I'm looking forward to being there again. I am new to trout fishing after saltwater fishing for years so I would appreciate any advice from the experts concerning Abram's Creek. I am now determined to catch something there.

Hi Dave,

Glad to have you on the board. Sorrry about the weather and the skunk. I was returning from a hiking trip this evening and saw a couple of fishermen at Metcalf Bottoms. I stopped to talk to them. They reported slow fishing even with the warm weather. But what a beautiful day.
