Zebra Midge

I talked to Steve at Game Fair here in Nashville and he gave me the thread base pattern for the zebra midge, but some where I saw a Zebra midge tied with what looked like a vinyl or plastic base with a the same material in black for the wraps. Did I dream this up or is there such a thing?

The material is called Body Glass or Larva Lace. LRO should be able to help.
