I'm thinking about buying a 9' 5wt TFO TiCr. Has anyone had the chance to fish one of these rods? I would mostly be using it to fish dry/dropper rigs on the larger tailwaters (like the Cumberland).

Thanks,

Yea, I've got a few of them. They are good working rods and will perform well for you. I keep them on the boat because they are priced right and still have the guarantee. So your not heartbroken if one becomes multipieces on you.

I have that exact rod, plus two other 5-wts. You couldn't wrestle TFO TiCr from my hands. I love it. Crisp; accurage; great value. It's the first rod I reach for when i go to the tailwaters.

I originally bought a TiCRX and I personally thought it was too fast so I went back and got a TiCR. I've loved it. It has just the right action for your tailwaters around here (Clinch, Soho, Watauga, etc.). I own the 5 wt. and it handles my nymphs and dries extremely well. I'd selfishly like to own the 4 wt. for dries but maybe one day...
