Got to the river below TF Dam around 11:00 and fished until 3:30. Brought 5 to hand: 4 'bows and 1 brown, all around 10". I was using Tim's Trout Candy, size 14, with a BHPT size 16 dropper. All of the rainbows were caught on TC. If you don't know of or have the pattern, go see Tim in Lynchburg at Tim's Flies and Lies. This is the KEY pattern to this river. I have never gone and not caught a trout when using this pattern.

Yep, spend too much money in there already ;-) His wife was kind enough to show us how to tie the TC and I am attempting it now! Have heard lots of great things about it! You always fish it with a dropper?

I've found that two is almost always better than one. Sometimes, when I'm feeling froggy, I'll use a size 16 TC dropper, but I like to use different patterns to increase the odds that I match what the fish are eating. On the other hand, this is a stocked river.:rolleyes:

I'm still waiting to catch that deuce! Having two fish on at once would be AWESOME.:biggrin:
