i took more pictures the first trip and didn't catch anything. today i did more fishing and less picture taking.

the water the 5th was 52 deg. and today it was 44 deg. the 5th tiny stone flies was hatching and making their way to the bank. today i didn't see any stones but there was some kind of black midges everywhere i looked on the water. i have to say that this is the first time that i have paid close attention to the bugs.

due to some herons the fish are learning to stay out of sight. while they are not wild fish the ones that are left are getting smarter.

the biggest fish of the day, when i went to take his pic and put him back in the water on the fly and under pressure the the fly came out and buried past the bend in my thumb.............fun4me

caught 5 in an hour from the bank, on a rubber legged green copper john. missed awhole lot of good water. can't wait to get a chance with the waders.

couple bugs i found and didn't know what they was. the first could be a midge but the other one i don't know? it was trapped in the surface film and was barely moving. it looked as if it was a nymph hatching into an adult and never made it.
