Elk River 3/1/08

My husband and I fished the Elk today and had some luck finally with a sz 20 Adams. I love to see a fish take a dry fly!! The fish were coming all of the way out of the water at times for a small grey-ish midge that was hatching for most of the day. Caught 6 total and all but one took the dry.(The other was a sz 16 disco midge) It was a decent fishing day, but a beautiful day to be outside....spring is on the way!

Same here flygirl.
I finally wised up and went to the dry flies, but I didn't have a small enough pattern. I did land a few rainbows on an Adams, but they seemed to wise up to my attempts.

It was really nice out...actually got a sun burn.

I went up to Normandy Dam later and didn't even see a fish or any rises.
