Hazel Creek Cascades
 

I plan to visit Hazel Creek this April, Hope its not to cold. I have stayed at campsite 83 before but not much past this site. I have read many times about Hazel creek and the Cascades, Does anyone know where the Cascades are located. If this is a specific place to visit.

I'm planning on making a trip there myself this summer! The cascades are above campsite 82, but exactly where i don't know. If i remember correctly, i think they are somewhere around proctor, but not totally sure. When i make this trip, we are coming down from the dome, should be interesting!!

The cascades are about 4 1/2 miles above Calhoun (82). That would put them about 2 miles off the AT. We started out to day hike there from 83, about 7 1/2 miles, but got seduced by Walkers Creek.

Thanks for the Information. We are hoping to be able to find some brook trout. Anyone catch a brook trout around Calhoun (82) or the Cascades.

They will be up there if you are that high up, but i would say they would predominantly be from proctor and up. Make sure and let us know how you do as i would be very interested to learn how you do since i'm heading up there myself this summer.

Thanks for all the information, everyone has really been helpful. Our trip is planned for April 4th for a 5 day trip. I will reply back after our trip with any and all updates.
