Well, I hate to admit it, but I know little to nothing about fly fishing. Or maybe just enough to be dangerous to others with a fly rod. Hope to be visiting soon for a lesson if Ted can get it arranged.
I have grown up fishing here on our 3rd generation farm. Now I am the only one left here so I get to fish alone until the 4th generation is conceived, hopefully soon. We have about 5 acres of water, but no trout. So bream and bass are my only catch. It almost seems too easy here. I sure it will be much more challenging in the stream. I piddle around restoring an 85 CJ7 when I am not fishing. Fly tying is what I am really interested in, but I hate to put the cart before the horse. So, that is about it. Nice to meet you guys / gals. |
Welcome to the board. Nice, helpful folks here!

Hi Hutch,
Welcome to the board. You will learn a lot here. I started fly fishing in ponds and I still love doing it. Sounds like you have a nice one. Next week I'll spend 5 days doing nothing but bluegill and bass fishing. Thanks for joining us. Byron |
Welcome
Good to have you with us Hutch. It is a beautiful transition from the pond to the stream and back again. All fish have their uniqueities. Sure Knots, Monk

Welcome to the board! Bass are great on the fly rod and of course bream are always fun...sounds like you've got a great place to fish without having to go anywhere!

Fly fishing is one of those things that once you start you cant stop, and when youre not doin it , its what you wanna be doin. Best of luck and good fishin to ya!
