Citico Creek
 

A friend and I are looking for a little confidence boost, in that we are beginner fishermen.

We were thinking about camping at double-camp friday night and trying Citico creek saturday morning. I know the stocking season is over, so what should I expect?

I would hike upstream.

agree. Fish either north fork or south fork citico creek. I've been up there almost everyday this week and everything is real low and clear right now. You can camp along doublecamp and fish there when you want, then fish either north fork or south fork citico. Should be a good time. I was wearing long sleeves this morning. Weather was great.

Thanks for the responses. I have fished the north and south forks in the past with some success. I had hoped for more success and larger fish down where the forks come together and more towards doublecamp. I understand they don't stock above the gauging station on the north fork. I am just a beginner, so I am looking for a confidence boost.

As far as flies, should I try a dropper?

I finally did It!!!
 

Yep, finally caught a decent trout. 9" to be exact. Needless to say I was super excited when I pulled the little guy in. I took a few pictures and gently released him back into the water to make another fisherman's day.
