Mending a line

Just reading one of Lefty Kreh's books and he reccomends a mend that is opposite that which we would put on a dry fly for a steamer so as to present the fly in the correct state (panic and chaos!). This mend would have the line bowed the direction of the current instead of againt it (like a dry). Sounded a little weird until I saw his drawing, but I was wondering if this was the standard presentation in moderate to swift water like I see on the Caney Fork.

Thanks for the advice,

BRF

I tell folks this, there are 42 gazillionmillion ways to catch a fish, at any one time, one of them will work.
Lefty knows how to catch fish, try it the next time out to see how it suit's your fishing style.
