ultralight warm water fishing
 

Left the big guns at home and took the lamiglass 6.5ft 3wt out for some rod bending fun . I love catching redbreast on ultralight gear and poppers. They are in full spawning colors right now.

After 15-20 of them , I decided to fish for something bigger....

First a largemouth showed up.

You've gone after bronzebacks, right? Have you used one of those bread flies?

Never tried a bread fly for smallmouth. Too many ducks around. The deerhair breadfly works on carp though, especially if they are used to being fed.

I just call this river "X" truchin
