Volunteering in the Park

I had the opportunity to do a little volunteer work for the park again yesterday. I have only been able to volunteer a couple times due to interference with work but each time I have been able to help I have enjoyed it immensely.

The "crew" consisted of me and seven other gentlemen. We shocked two sections of a real nice little brookie stream. We recorded length and weight of a good number of fish.

I post this to remind folks that there are opportunities out there for us to help the folks that manage the waters that we cherish.

Thanks, Elkins. Did you guys turn up any notably sized brookies?

There were several nice fish but only one that was a "keeper". There were a few of the fish that had exceptional colors and markings. In my opinion, for the size stream the fish were about the right size.
