Abrams Creek

I'm sitting here, thinking about the logistics for a spring trip. Does anyone know the distance from the Ranger Station off Happy Valley Road to Abrams Falls? I've made the hike twice but fished some on my way up. Also, how long should it take if I hump it straight there? Thanks

About 7 miles if you park down by the Ranger station, but if the campground is not too full you can shave about a mile off by parking up there. It is a pretty easy hike without too many hills but the trail gets narrow and rockier once you get back along the creek after climbing a small ridge.

It should take about 2 and a half hours if you are carrying your wading boots in a daypack with your other gear,I would not want to walk in wearing wading boots.I remember it took a lot longer than that when I hiked in there after the big snows in 93 knocked all the trees down,it took 4 or 5 hours just to get to camp #17.

Thanks for the info. Just what I was wondering.
