Greetings to all who post here. I'm a new member (of 3 months-just slow to post) from south Alabama. As a life long visiter of the smokies (since the 60's) I enjoy very much reading your posts and the fishing report. I don't get to fish or visit as often as I would like but maybe I'll get to meet some of you on a stream someday!

Lee--A hearty welcome, and you have my sympathies when it comes to not spending enough time on streams in the Smokies. Neither do I, and I probably enjoy more stream time than most. You'll find this forum a delight.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I'm one of those nuts who never comes to the smokies without a full box of books and maps about the smokies (plus 4 or 5 fly rods). Back in the 80's I could go in Sugarlands and not buy anything 'cause I had everything! LRO has been a standard stop for many years! Many thanks to Jim for his book which enhanced my knowledge of the history of the area I was fishing. Those of you who are locals don't know how truly lucky you are!
