The River
 

12X12 Oil on Canvas. Not finished, but thought I would share. Weird shadows coming out of the deeper part of this river valley gave a strong juxtaposition from the riffle water you see further up the mountain. Weird, but I painted what I saw;

Great painting! Always paint what you see, even if it is not what you see:rolleyes:.

Have you ever tried finger painting some of your scenes. It can make them look more abstract; but, I like the free-feeling effect.

Thanks! Yeah, I have experimented with it but haven't tried finger painting in a while. Still finding my painting legs. :biggrin:

Also, I think you should title your picture or give it a name-explaining your interpretation:smile: I am not art expert; but, I enjoy these things in paintings and I always cherish paintings from friends.
