Last day of the year outing
 

Got a chance to hit the Luftee today for a few hours and get a last shot of some 2011 fish. With the weather getting a little warmer, I thought I may have a shot, but I'm not very good with the nymphs so it was 50/50.

I hit the biggest pools and used a BHPT as my only fly of the day, and they were ones that I had tied. I get too hung up with multiple flies and indicators, so I went au natural, with just the fly and watched my fly line.

For the first time, maybe every, I did well nymphing. I caught 6 fish; 5 bows and 1 small brown. One rainbow was a decent size, jumped, and took a little line. It was cold, but fun.
