Looks like a great fly. Ought to work on the SoHo when the sulphurs are hatching.

saw this fly in a book that Roger (Lowe) has out showing fly patterns for the Smokies.

olesmoke...looks similar to the smoky mountain candy fly that paula named.
Lookin' forward to testing out those leaders you sent me.

hope a great biggun stretches your string.......:smile: I think Walter Babb had a Smoky mt candy pattern but it had groundhog tail and split wing I believe.Have to check when I can get home.

This fly is a traditional favorite of the Cherokees on the Qualla Boundary.

They call it a gray hackle yellow.

Best fished wet.

Yep, have several in the fly box.
