coming up next saturday for a week and have planned out the family hikes. We are planning on ramsey prong trail to the cascades, any one have any fishing advice for this hike.

Use 6x tippitt,a size 14 yellow dry fly,and don't wear bright clothing.

Are you planning on fishing while your family hikes, or are you hiking with them and just jumping into the water for a few minutes at a time?

will be stopping to fish, an hour or so here and there, my wife will take pictures and my son will spin fish ( long story) we will be hiking abrams, little river above elkmont, ramsey, and have 2 days still up in the air ,any suggestions for fishing hikes ,we are stayining in G-Burg

I need to clarify, when I say my wife will be taking pictures they will not all be of fishing. Michelle is a former NP ranger (shenandoah) and is the science department head of Coral springs H.S. .When we hike it is always part science lesson. She photographs every thing, flowers ,trees ,fauna of all sorts,bird ,bugs all wildlife and their droppings. So for me to get into the water for a couple of hours on a hike is pretty easy
