Floating Clouser Minnow tutorial
.............

Randy,
Nice video! That fly is a art piece. Have you ever tried it for trout or night fishing? |
Shawn, I tie it in baby rainbow, baby brown, and use the one shown for trout with the sinking line. Have not tried it on the surface for trout at night, hummmmm!!

Great tutorial Randy. I've got a couple of those tied up in one of my boxes but haven't tried them on a sinking line yet. I haven't fished much since our trip in late June. The heat and then rains have kept me off the water.

I have only been down the upper Holston Proper a couple of times since then as well. The water coming down the North Fork of the Holston out of southwest Virginia is staying muddy. I floated yesterday testing a new design of an old fly pattern. It worked well in the stained water, visibility was about 18 inches when we started and was about 3 feet when we finished. The new/old fly worked well making some really good noise to call them in. |
