Spring Panfish
 

Soon the weather will be cold and tying season will be upon us. I know I'll be tying flies to chase early season bluegill and crappie in addition to all of the other fishing I enjoy. Very cool, David. I love fishing for panfish on my 4wt. There is a pond in Nashville that has tons of hand sized gills in it and they spawn in the spring. If you are ever up this way, let me know and I'll put you on 'em. Lakes around here are nice too for panfish.

The way you are talking is already giving me cabin fever.

They probably were...its always pretty obvious with the panfish and they get super aggressive. Any crappie in there or just bluegill, shell crackers, etc...?

No crappie that I saw but I did see a really big bass hammer a frog sitting in the shallow water

Great video and I love the music. I have a creek that runs though our farm here in north Alabama that holds lots of panfish. Since I retired at the end of the last school year(after 35 years teaching high school agriculture). I have lots more time to get to know the creek and the best ways to fish it. Panfish are so much fun,I can go out any afternoon and catch 5 or 6 different kinds of fish. Again great video,keep up the good work.
