Those look awesome. Really buggy looking. Have you tried the new articulated shanks at LRO yet? They would be great for those patterns. Thanks for sharing.

no I havent used the shanks...........20lb fly line backing is all that I use for articulated flies . Never had a failure.

Olesmoke, How do you fasten your trailing hook with the backing? One of my biggest problems is the trailing hook has too much mobility and fouls my setup after a few casts. Nice patterns! Thanks for sharing! |
MB I use a loop of the backing & three beads.......I try to keep the eye of the second hook even with the end of the first hook.The beads will keep it from allowing the second hook to make the turn.I will try to get you a pic but Im out on the run right now.
