Rain, rain and more rain
Any idea as to whether our last two rain events have been enough to adversely affect our Smokies fisheries? I know we've had floods in not too distant memory that have wiped out a year's young. Just wondered how this year's events have compared.
It will have an effect on the fisheries. Especially the browns that spawned in the fall and rumor has it that some rainbows had already started to spawn at the end of January. On the bright side when the things get back to normal there will be more food to go around for the trout that made it. This will make the average size to go up and we'll all be happy that we're catching nice fat, long fish. We'll probley see the same effect that the droughts brought a couple years back. Crappy at first. Then the fish will get bigger the next couple years and we'll be happy, happy, happy. My 2 cents.
