Is SA Mastery Trout an overweight line?
 

Is the SA Mastery trout line an overweight line, i.e., a 2wt actually throws and fishes like a 2.5 or 3 wt line?

From what I have heard you are right. Its about a half wt larger than the standard.

Trout is a true line weight line . GPX is a half line weight heavy.

Thanks for the replies. My fly shop ordered 2 wt for my 3 wt finesse rod and now I'll have to tell him he was wrong ordering me the 2wt line.

My bad sort of. I was thinking GPX cus thats all I buy.
