Sam's creek

Help a girls scout out,

A question for my many knowledgeable friends in the forum,
My Daughter needs to know who Sam's creek was named after.

Thanks,

Sam Walton ? Honestly we have discussed this on here before I don't recall anyone have a definitive answer.

Sam Walton? I have heard but I am likely wrong Sam Rodgers

I'm just taking my rod and a tarp. That's real camping.

Thanks,

Forum member Carolina Kudzu will likely know. You may e-mail me and I will provide you his address.

Coincidently, just today my grandson Sam and I started a water feature in my back yard. Even for us fellas it's a bit ambitious, but it's planned as miniaturized version of Little River watershed. It would have about six tributaries, one being Sams Creek. Okay, some you may be thinking... ol' Fred's becoming like Roy Neary in the '77 flic "Close Encounters of the Third Kind."
