suprise trout fishing trip from wife!
Came out last week for a vacation to do the normal vacation stuff and sightseeing. My son and I got the chance to fish for some stockers in gatlinburg. My son caught a nice trout in the stocked waters, but we always had a craving to chase will mountain trout. Well tuesday mroning she took us to a flyshop and sprung a guided trip on us she had been saving for all year. Our gudes name was Brad(sorry, didn't ever get his last name) but we had the time of our life. My son even caught a brown on our first real wild trout fishing tripf!first rainbow of the day A proud dad and his son couple of more rainbow shots the fish of the trip!! So proud of him!!'t wait to get back there and do it again. Thanks for letting me brag a little bit. Flyguys

Like everyone else said:rolleyes: Nice Brown:smile:

Always nice when something you love to do falls unexpectedly in your lap:biggrin:

Is your son out fishing you yet?

Thanks for posting

duckypaddler, yeah he is outfishing me on the trout end of it. I can still hold my own when we go bass fishing. I can't say enough about Brad, our guide. He taught us quite a bit out on the rivers. If anyone is thinking about a trip out to the smokies and are a couple of newbies like us, I highly recommend a guide to help get you used to the finer points of the sport. We still have a lot to learn, but it was a lesson not to be forgotten. Flyguys
