Quick Reminder Tennessee License Expires Feb 28
Remember if you get a Tennessee fishing/hunting license your current license expires in a few days on Feb 28. They go on sell Feb. 18 for the 2014 season, don't forget to add the trout stamp unless you plan to explain to the game warden why you don't need one! Like American Express, don't leave home without it!

Hooray! This year I qualify for the Permanent Senior Citizen Hunt/Fish//Trap. One time payment of $11 and good for rest of my life. No trout stamp required. Pretty good deal.

Problem is, good for the rest of your life ain't the deal it used to be. When I see something with a lifetime warranty these days, I just shake my head.

True dat, but I think I have a few seasons left in me.

Congratulations Stonefly!
Not sure if I have met you on the water yet, but let me
be the first to say with your fishing mile mark and financial savings this
year; will you buy the beer if we do meet?

Something to remember is that along with the senior designation, there's a missing paycheck. All in all though, retirement does not suck.

Last reminder, please renew or get that TN license, and trout stamp if needed, I was just on the phone with an officer in TWRA enforcement in Nashville to get a ball park figure of the cost of not having a licnese tomorrow and it was an eye opener. The fine for not having a license can run between $10-25 dollars hold on..... the killer is the potential court costs whcih can run between $350-450, yikes!! The interesting part is that cost goes to the county clerk of that county and also may be used to fund other county costs, TWRA receives from what I understood a very small portion of the fine not the court costs.

Long story short get your license and make sure your biggest worry on any day is your cast!

Bought mine
I bought my license, and I figure that it comes to about 23 dollars a fish if I have a good year .

LOL,$23 a fish is a bargain considering some of the things we have to spend it on:smile:
