Fall Creek Falls

Has anyone ever fished the streams in the park at Fall Creek Falls at Spencer TN? We just drove by there on the way home on highway 111 and I got to thinking about the park there. We've stayed a few times at the lodge and have always enjoyed the stay and seeing the different water falls but I've never fished there. To be honest I don't remember seeing anyone fishing there. I just got to wondering and wondered if anyone had ever tried there or not. I might just have to give it a shot this summer just to see.

Thanks in advance,
hNt

PS. I did call the desk at the lodge but the lady that answered didn't know

I don't think they have trout either, but the lake gave up the tn state record bluegill Bach in the mid 70's. Three pounds I think.

Hey Punk - Your link to blog isn't coded right;)

Also that contraption in you blog is where a usgs water gauge used to be:biggrin:

I see you took your daughter many of the same places we just took our boys. Pretty places:smile:

Thanks ducky! I think its fixed now. I have been busy lately, not much time for forums...

Yes it is gorgeous out that way, I have a NC regulations book on the way. Too much good looking water for me not to get interested. Just wonder about the $$ for non residents, and try to figure out the various stream classifications

NC is angler friendly - their non-resident license costs less than a Tennessee resident ticket.

I fish NC quite a bit, coastal once or twice a year also, here is a snip of cost from my account. If you plan on going two or more trips get the non resident annual pays for itself two trips or more, add trout stamp annual just $10 than no worries. NC licenses renew on day you get it so I try to time mine so my Tennessee and NC expire same month of February, took awhile to get times to match but if you can makes it easier to remember. Hope this helps! P.S. They charge a $2 fee for online transaction so I try to get annual and trout stamp same time saves a couple bucks.

Non Resident Inland Fish annual (basic) $30.00
Non Resident Inland Fish 10-Day (basic)$10.00
Special Trout Fishing $10.00

That is quite reasonable. Thanks!
