aarrgghhhhhhhh, where's my pistol, i'm gonna shoot this box, i get an icon thing at the bottom, click it & it goes to the title bar.

That is a list of the smilies and the code you use to make it. Just type what is listed as the code, and the smilie will appear as if by magic! :)
