Cherokee Indian Reservation

Has anyone fished the Cherokee reservation waters recently? Never been there but have heard about trophy section as well as fishing in the park upstream. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Has anyone paddled to Hazel Creek? How far is it? I am thinking about paddleing over for the day and fishing the lower section. May even camp. Departing Cable Cove seems to be the closest ramp.

Clinch Today 10-23-08

Fished the Clinch today and did very well below Peach Orchard. Drifted down to the shoals and below. Caught most fish on a size 18 brown and copper zebra. Took a few on a size 18 green bodied caddis....

Clinch today 10/11/08

floated in my kayak down to the shoals below peach Orchard. Caught lots of fish with two realy nice ones, a brown about 16'' and a brookie about 16". All on midges. IMO the river is perfect with this...

Speaking of the Cumberland....How is it fishing? I hope to be there later this fall but am concerned the fish are stressed even up near the dam. Any fishing report would be great.

The Prince did have a bead and was tied by Hagan. It had rubber legs and was a size 14 or possibly 16. The Zebras were 18 or 20. There were some flys coming off Saturday but the adams I tried did not...
