I lived closer to the river from 07-2010. Saw 70+ degree water every summer. Catching fish is never the problem in 72 degree water, its the delayed mortality that can be rough. They leave your hands...

Well, we are almost where we were during the big drought of '07... with mid 90's temps to boot. I've watched the usgs site as the temp graph climbs and the flow graph falls... with water temps...

From the end of November through early march I only use a 10' 4 weight. You just cannot best a long rod for nymphing... 9' 3 weight for everything else except streamers.

Interesting.....we are 6 months away from bear season...so really odd. That being said the park does employ people to track and kill hogs...I bet it was their dogs...I'm guessing a squatter wouldn't...
