i know it sounds crazy but on days after heavy rain when the water is high and has color in it i have the most luck on a purple bugger size 6. In the water the purple looks like a light shade black.

ya i need to do that i did have a journal made by orvis but i filled it up last year it had like 120 pages but i will have to buy more pages to replace my old pages with.
