Thanks for the info on hiking distance and terrain. I am not much of a hiker, and my 64 year old knees dislike rock hopping. I usually fish easy access spots.

Azalea galls GSMNP

Years ago a park ranger told me you could find water in azalea galls to survive. Drinking stream water contaminated by wild hogs is not very appetizing.

measure 7 and 3/4 inches ! He measured 7 1/2 inches Tuesday. I hope you

I went back to Elkmont today, and caught the same fish I caught Sunday.
This time he took a #16 EHC . I only saw one fish feeding on the surface.
