I have seen some kind of bug ruin lots of hackles. Moth balls and cedar balls stopped the damage but I guess your damage may have occurred years ago

Took a few buddies extreme warm water fly fishing yesterday, water temp 88 on ft Loudoun. We were after jumping white bass but it seems the largemouth took over at least for an evening. Caught 10-15...

I'm fishing Holston right now lots of small ones few decent ones mixed in. Clift is looking better this year but it's always fine in canoe or kayak.

I have heard amber or rose is best for shady areas like gsmnp but I have never bought anything except blue mirror or that standard grayish black color lens. I use the blue lenses on bright sunny days...
