No one recommends incising the wound at this time and his doc praises him for stabbing himself to the bone? He dropped pretty quick too. I bet it was from blood loss and not venom.

I am curious how many of you carry bear spray when fishing in the park. Anyone have experience using it or maybe just wishing you had some available due to an encounter? Any thoughts on an airhorn...

Dirty diapers have to be the worst trailside trash. I did find a few flies below Tremont the other day along with a jighead and a spinner.

That defanged copperhead may be just fine. They actually have 5 to 7 sets of replacement fangs that come in quickly when one is lost. Or taken as the case may be.

I cut a Northern water snake out of someones abandoned casting net earlier this spring. That was one unhappy snake. Luckily my daughter was there to keep the thing pinned down while I cut it free.
