This should probably go without saying, but since I almost lost all my line and backing on about a 25 pound striper, I'll say it anyway.

Make sure your line and backing come off your reel...

I've never seen one for anywhere else except for the Clinch. I'd say it wouldn't be that hard to put one together with some input with people who are really familiar with that area.

If you are wading your really only have three options, either at the church, Miller's Island, or below the dam. Drain down times are posted on the Clinch River Trout Unlimited.

Has anyone fished the Gallatin in early spring, late April early May? I've got a family trip that suddenly turned fishing trip, but planned during the wrong time of the year. Any info is appreciated....

I've never fished that area myself, but a buddy of mine does and he uses zebra midges and a strike indicator. I've never tried this myself though.

Fishing was pretty much a wash until around 4pm. It rained most of the day. About 3pm the rain shut off. About 3:30 we were in the middle of the biggest bwo hatch I've ever fished. Fish everywhere....
