I agree that most sticks will handle lines either way. Unless something has been added Orvis used to be the only rod that was lined for its true weight.

Cool Week Before Christmas

I normally have some action up on Greenbriar towards years end if I am in the area. Also you sometimes can raise a trout up around the Chimneys picnic area. Both are close to town.

Mr. Mike, Did you ever go fish Slickrock? I used to visit it few times each year. Browns you know and a real jewel in years past but I think the drought conditions in 07 hurt it some.

I agree with Cosby, but get up 30 minutes earlier and drive into the park just around five miles from Sugarlands and you can fish the area above the Chimneys picnic area. Could catch all three...
