I think you're talking aabout 2 different...
I think you're talking aabout 2 different products - old style epoxy and the new UV clear cure goo stuff. The UV lights work with the new products but you do air-dry the old style epoxy.

Does look to me like a crane fly. Caddis should have long legs showing I think. Would be a very small crane fly - I've seen them the size of my pinkie.
