I finally got a chance to put hands on a regal vise today. I love the ease of operation and the clearance to work. It is also a very wide vise which gives good support to your "non threading" hand....

I agree, the double surgeon's knot is what i almost always use. I used to use yard and other common things like that as a strike indicator, but now i almost always use a dry fly as my indicator....
